...Wow, I haven't posted here for over six years? It really has been a long time.

I'd been spending the past several years posting casual blog stuff over on Tumblr, and had mostly forgotten about this place—but since it looks like that site is going to implode à la LiveJournal in the near future, I suppose I might as well come back and set up here again.

Apparently they were clueless enough to shut Yahoo Messenger's logging down *after* the oil industry practically offered an annual blank check in perpetuity so long as they continued to maintain conversation records good enough to meet reporting standards, so what hope did the rest of us have?
